Nice sounding show, especially when its antiquity is taken into consideration. Don't know how it compares with the other versions but any self respecting fan should have a copy of this gig in their collection. [egpx] I don't have other versions of this show, but I have to point out something that I can't believe nobody have noticed before: Sadly, IMHO, this is the worst PRRP releases - and I have many, including Yes, ELP, etc -. The whole show runs too slow and in a painful lower key. That's even more evident in songs like Musical Box. The overall sound is no more than B+ (B for me), but the main problem is speed. I think PRRP went wrong with the speed down work they done [ponkine] I don't have other versions of this show, but I have to point out something that I can't believe nobody have noticed before: Sadly, IMHO, this is the worst PRRP releases - and I have many, including Yes, ELP, etc -. I think PRRP went wrong with the speed down work they done I have to agree with Ponkine. PRRP definately screwed up when they adjusted the speed on this. The resulting product is an absolute drag to listen to. I really applaud people who take the time to remaster the old live recordings and I appreciate that there are people doing that work for other fans to enjoy but this is bad. I don't mean to attack anybody's work but I have to be honest. [Jmoog] |
