IMO, Eeklairs version is cleaner than "Like a nun with a gun" [squonkendos] This is the only version I have and I was very pleased with it. Sound is upfront and very clear and Pete's stories are quite audible and distinct. I have read about some issues with the speed of this show on other versions being too slow. I found no such problem here. The band's peformance is great and features a Pre-album version of Watcher of the Skies which Peter notes "will probably be on the next album." The only problem I had with this recording was the intrusive echo of the Hall but of course nothing could be done about that. Overall, a great experience and Historic as this was the show that David Stopps of Friars fame promoted heavily to get Genesis some much needed attention in their own country. [duke23] |
