My first Genesis show. I bunked off school in London to go see it with my Liverpudlian girlfriend. I can't recall the precise reason for the band not being able to play The Musical Box even though Peter went through his intro for the song. I do very clearly remember the support act though - Ron Geesin. For those of you not familiar with Mr Geesin, he's a rather avant-garde Scots musician who I think most of the Genesis audience that night really didn't get. During one song somebody shouted "F*** off!", to which Geesin replied quite matter-of-factly and without missing a beat on the piano, "No.", and later he dedicated one his songs to "The person who shouted 'F*** off baldy during the previous number'." Happily, I got to see Musical Box a year or two later during the Lamb Lies Down tour. [bartonskyway] Steve completely botching up the opening guitar work for "Cinema Show". Peter of course quips about it, however, unfortunately, his voice is muffled during this moment, as the person recording was having problems with his equipment. So, you really can't hear what Gabriel related, in response to Steve's very embarrassing miscue. It perhaps was a tuning problem with his guitar, or an outright F**k up, hard to tell really.
