The first 20 mins are a bit distorted but the rest is quite good. This is the best version available (if I do say so myself :)) Fresh transfer of original C90 tapes acquired at a fair many moons ago... [Speedy] I rate this an "A" in terms of quality, although approximately half of the show (Dance - Dodo; Supper - Cage) is in fact closer to "A-" in quality. Still, this represents a huge step in the right direction compared to BURP 002 (which was again another vast improvement over previous sources), so don't be mistaken that this is the current (July 31, 2007) best raw source, and will probably make grounds for numerous remasters. For the first time, it looks like we will have a truely listenable Saratoga version. Today's the day to celebrate! [kaspergm] |
