I'm always partial to live recordings with a "live" atmosphere, so, not so much with the soundboards for me in general. That bias aside, this is a cool full Duke gig. I do, however, have to agree with other posters here in regards to the "bummer" factor of Phil's strained voice. This is like show 70 in like 3 months and his voice shows the strain. I find myself rooting for Phil to make it through more than I am enjoying the music. This then has to be a far cry from "As Good As Gold" or any of the other complete Lyceum shows from 7 May 80 - better performance with an almost identical set, in a much better room. Peace!
