Recording comments |
Notes from the release : A stunning soundboard/ambience* recording that misses the opening story... "The Waiting Room" is again the star of the show, it's nine-and-a-half minutes are packed full of surprises... The soundboard tapes are always kind to Hackett....here every sustained harmony is heard... Unfortunately "The Musical Box" only gets as far as the story stage. On this form that is a real shame... Additional note: When Peter starts to sing "Early morning, Manhattan..", his voice is gone after the first syllable. This is not a technical problem, but Peter looses his balance, slips and goes flat on his face. He recovers quickly, to continue as if nothing happened. [Simon_Funnell] |
