Well, what can I say? Definitely MY FAVOURITE AUDIENCE SHOW on this tour! The Brothers' job on this one is outstanding, the sound being very clear and upfront.Though all the band shine in turn, the one who really takes all the glory is Bruford, whose drumming is the best I've heard, playing for Genesis. I don't know what he was on but he was really on fire that night, DOAV and CINEMA SHOW are just two examples. A cracking show on the verge of an A+ perhaps? [dusk] Sadly the Taper had problems first so he missed the first Seconds of Dance on a Volcano and also he had a tape out during the Last Suppers Ready verses... The Digital Brothers used the other Source to complete it, beside that Fact that the other source sounds crappy, this Recording is PERFECT ! This is simply one of my favourite Boots and of course on the best Audience Recordings, forget the rest from this Tour Its As Good As Master of Marquee or Master of Cologne Go and get it From me, High A, and if there will be a SDB for a Matrix, a really big A++ ! :) [chinwildchicken] If this recording didn't have gaps in it, I would rate it as an A+. This is one of the best audience recordings I have ever heard— I personally think it's better than the Abacab Tour's Cincinnati recording. This recording is so good that I would say if you want a good, (fairly) complete recording from the Trick tour, this may be the definitive one. [bryantm3] If this recording didn't have gaps in it, I would rate it as an A+. This is one of the best audience recordings I have ever heard— I personally think it's better than the Abacab Tour's Cincinnati recording. This recording is so good that I would say if you want a good, (fairly) complete recording from the Trick tour, this may be the definitive one, even moreso than Pittsburgh or Cleveland. [bryantm3] Hey I forgot to mention something : This Recordings sounds really best when you listen to it via headphones or earphones. But be careful, White Montain and Entangled are so much great here, I already fell asleep with these songs in my head. So be careful when you listen this recording in your bed :-) [chinwildchicken] Yes, overall it is excellent. The patches mentioned above from the other source are painfully obvious but I'd rather have a patch from the actual show in question than a patch from another gig in comparable quality. So, I can't complain really. There was one notable gap during the intro to Supper where there is a fade out and then Phil fades back in and ends up repeating a line of the intro. I have no idea if this is a part of the original Fest in Berne source. It sounds like it is though. Other than that and the other patches mentioned, this is a more than welcome audience recording that really is a must have. There is an earnestness and power present in this recording that the soundboards and FM recordings just simply do not have. As others here are saying, get it now! [duke23] |
