It was the first time i'd seen Hackett since Six of the Best in Oct 82 and still had the excitement of that event ringing in my ears. I was sitting in the circle to the right of the stage as you look close to the exit door that leads downstairs. When i turned to see who was standing next to me leaning against the wall and it was none other then Peter Gabriel himself. Steve Hackett had said that there would be special guests to raise money for Tadworth Childrens Hospital. Towards the end of Hacketts set Peter Gabriel dissapears only to appear moments later on the stage and then after singing Here Comes The Flood , Mike Rutherford walks on. We are all thinking are Tony and Phil coming on as well ? ,but no. Peter's microphone doesn't work at the begining of "Reach Out" but eventually he is given one that does. Still we had our own Three of the Best ! [earlofendos] |
