My version of this has a slighty different running order, although the track times are generally the same. Tracks 8-10 on CD1 appear, rightly, as the encores at the end of CD2. The Tony Bennet songs all appear on CD1 [CaptainRansid] Fantastic show that just make you wish that Phil would play more jazz. Great sound (even better than A Hot NIght in Paris) and great performances from everybody involved. Could be the best Phil Collins album ever! But shouldn't it be The Stravinski Auditorium?? [Goran] When I mastered this show back in 1998, I found the Tony Bennett songs so awful that I thought of ways of skipping them easily. So I came to the idea to make the break right after the TB songs. This kept the running order of the broadcast reels intact and one can stop after track 7 and continue with CD2 to hear the pure Phil. After troubles with the flight from Nice to Geneva the band arrived late in Montreux. Due to the tight schedules with two shows (one in the afternoon at 5.00 pm and one in the evening) there was no soundcheck. At the beginning of the first show they had to stop Two Hearts after just a few seconds because the monitors were humming heavily. After a couple of minutes the problem was fixed and the show was re-started. [UK76] |
